Tammy Tinner, lovingly known as Nellie Ru, passed away on January 1, 2019, at the age of 50. She was born on February 12, 1968, in Lockett, TX, and most recently resided in Center, TX. Tammy had a vibrant personality and was always ready to bring a smile to others' faces. She had a special gift for making people feel loved and cherished, often expressing her affection through warm hugs.
Tammy had a passion for singing and appreciated soul food. She found solace and inspiration in listening to Christian music. Her favorite bands and musical artists brought her comfort and joy. Tammy found immense happiness in witnessing the joy of others and considered seeing people happy as one of life's greatest treasures. Home was her favorite place in the world, where she felt safe and content.
In her leisure time, Tammy enjoyed watching Law and Order, and she had a keen interest in basketball. Her friends and family affectionately referred to her as Nellie Ru. Tammy was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and pursued her education later in life, which she considered one of her proudest accomplishments.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Lane, and their two daughters, April Carrington and Candice Carrington. She was a proud grandmother to Madison Carrington, Mercede Lister, and Jahavion Brinson. Tammy is also remembered by her parents, siblings, and extended family. Her sisters were Carolyn Tinner, Brenda Tinner, Barbara Tinner, and Norma Green, while her brothers were Clifford Jones and Sammy Bryant.
Tammy's defining trait was her infectious happiness. She consistently radiated positivity and brought joy to those around her. Her impact on the lives of others was profound, as she held a genuine desire to assist those in need. Tammy's unwavering faith in one true God guided her throughout her life, and she embraced the belief that she could do all things through Christ.
Tammy Tinner will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever be cherished.
