Bobby's mother and father took him hunting and fishing and he loved to swim. He was a Boy Scout and became a Boy Scout Master for many years at St. Francis Church. He loved woodworking and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.
Mother, Eva Mae Bishop. Father, Elgin Roberson. Only child. Born in the Milwaukee County Hospital in Wauwatosa. Attended Fourth Street Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School and North Division High School. Graduated from North Division in January 1955. Met his wife Patricia Juanita Flowers at a roller-rink in Milwaukee. Married in March 1955.
Spending time with his life-long friends Ann and Willie Alexander are special people in the Roberson family's lives. Willie and Bobby were friends since grade school. Their families took vacations together and were always included in family events. They are the godparents of two of our grandchildren. They visited Bobby when he was no longer able to get out, sitting around the kitchen reminiscing over "popcorn and soda". Family can be more than blood relatives and we are grateful that the Alexanders are part of ours. He had two "Bonus" sons: Vandie Mims and Keith Crawley.

Robert Lewis Roberson, born on February 20, 1936, at Milwaukee County Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away on August 15, 2024, in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. He was the beloved son of Eva Mae Bishop and Elgin Roberson and grew up as an only child, though he shared a brotherly bond with Daniel Cleckly, a boy his parents took in during his youth.
Robert, known affectionately as Bobby, attended Fourth Street Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and graduated from North Division High School in January 1955. He met his wife, Patricia Juanita Flowers, at a roller rink in Milwaukee, and they were married in March 1955. Together, they raised six children: Daniel Lloyd, Robert Donald, Michael Owen, Eric Elgin, Theresa Diane, and Mark Joseph. Robert was proud of his large family, which included 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Robert held various jobs, starting as a valet at Chalet on the Lake and later working at Hotpoint Corporation. He trained in sheet metal work at the Milwaukee Area Technical College and spent many years at the Harneshfieger Company until 1985. After that, he became a property manager until health issues made it difficult for him to continue.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who cherished hunting, fishing, and swimming. He dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts, serving as a Scout Master at St. Francis Church. His passion for woodworking and the time he spent with his grandchildren brought him immense joy.
He built his own barbeque pit and often smoked whole turkeys that he would give to friends for special occasions. He sometimes helped with events organized by the YsMen's Club of the North Central YMCA and was a member of the Walnut Street Social Club.
Robert was also blessed with lifelong friendships, particularly with Ann and Willie Alexander, who have been an integral part of the Roberson family. The warmth of their bond was evident in the fond memories shared over popcorn and soda during visits in his later years.
Robert's kind spirit and zest for life will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His legacy of love and companionship will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
