Rene Josef Van Vleet, born on August 31, 1943, in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, passed away on October 28, 2024, in Quesnel, BC, Canada. He was a devoted husband to Gail Van Vleet and a cherished grandfather to Kelsey Baratta, Jordyn Baratta, Carson Van Vleet, and Tyler Van Vleet.
Rene led a fulfilling life marked by his passion for the great outdoors, where he enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and quadding. An adventure seeker at heart, he loved to travel and ride motorcycles, often accompanied by his guitar, which brought joy to many gatherings. His fascination with vehicles and mechanics was evident throughout his career as a truck driver and logger, where he made a meaningful impact in his profession.
Survived by his sister, Margaret Hodges, Rene was known for his warm spirit and positive influence on those around him. His kindness and enthusiasm for life enriched the lives of family and friends alike, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and heartfelt connections. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
