Natasha Stepanichkova, also known as Nat, was born on April 1, 2002, in Yalta, Ukraine. She passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2025, in Oakland, California. Natasha was a dedicated paramedic and firefighter, as well as a passionate high school girls basketball coach. Her commitment to her profession was exemplified by her favorite motto, “It’s a beautiful day to save lives,” which she lived by every day. She was planning to attend medical school to pursue a career as a neurologist.
Natasha was deeply loved by her family and friends, and she cherished the moments spent with them. She was the proud daughter of Alexsandr and Anastasia and the beloved sister to her 5 siblings. Her vibrant spirit was characterized by a contagious laugh and a bubbly personality that lit up any room she entered. Natasha had a great love for basketball, both as a player and a coach, inspiring young athletes with her enthusiasm and dedication.
Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, both as a first responder and a mentor. She is remembered for her unwavering spirit and the profound impact she made in her community.
Natasha will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her passing is a heartbreaking loss, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. May she be at peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
