Curtis Lee Canal, born on September 15, 1986, in Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Edgewater, Florida. A devoted father, loving son, and cherished brother, Curtis is survived by his two sons, Ryan Canal, 16, and Curtis Canal Jr. (CJ), 11, along with his mother Debora Canal, father Randy Canal, sister Cristy Canal, and brothers Randy, Jake, Clint Canal, and Paul Lancaster.
Curtis was known for his hard work in the construction industry and took great pride in his ability to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. He was a devout Christian who strongly believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His love for family was evident, and he often shared his life lessons with his sons and nephew Andrew, instilling values of self-discipline and a strong work ethic.
An avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Curtis found joy in watching games at Raymond James Stadium, his favorite place in the world. His hobbies included watching movies, playing video games, and enjoying classic rock, new rock, and rap music. He had a particular fondness for pizza, burgers, and Merks wings, and he often entertained friends and family with his comedic flair.
Known affectionately by nicknames such as "Brother" and "Curt the Clown," Curtis had a playful spirit, often making people laugh and lightening the mood. His meticulous nature, sometimes described as "OCD," reflected his personality—and he was always particular about neatness and organization.
