Zion Delancey, a bright and joyful young soul, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Schenectady, New York, at the tender age of eight. Born on December 11, 2016, in Schenectady, he brought immense love and happiness to those around him throughout his short but meaningful life.

Zion was a student at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School in Smithtown, New York. He was known for his infectious smile and boundless energy. Always dancing and radiating joy, he had a way of lighting up any room he entered. His intelligence and loving nature made him cherished by many, and his presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Sequoia Gamble; his brothers, Deon Gamble, Sequan Gamble, and Navy Gamble; and his sister, Nakeya Gamble. Zion was also loved by his grandmother, Loretta Fauntleroy; his uncles, Ramel Gamble, Michael Fauntleroy, Anthony Fauntleroy, Titus Fauntleroy, Rasheed Fauntleroy, and Avery Fauntleroy; and his aunts, Lenasia Gamble, Shaquna Fauntleroy, Ebony Fauntleroy, Naquasha Cokeley, India Fauntleroy, and Tiana Fauntleroy. His family and all who knew him will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A funeral service was held on March 22, 2025, at Lakeview Community Church in Carmel Hamlet, New York.

Though Zion’s time on earth was brief, the love he shared and the joy he brought will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
