In Loving Memory of Zackrie Foote

January 17, 2004 – June 15, 2024

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zackrie Foote, aged 20, who left us far too soon due to a tragic drive-by shooting in Columbus, Ohio. Zackrie's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Born on January 17, 2004, in Columbus, Ohio, Zackrie was a bright star in the lives of his family and friends. He attended Career And Technology Education Centers of Licking County, where he was known for his intelligence, kindness, and infectious sense of humor. His passion for helping others, and firefighting was evident to all who knew him, and he had dreams of settling down having kids, running a business, and being successful

Zackrie is survived by his loving parents, Melissa Foote and Eric Foote, his siblings, Destiny Foote, Eli Foote, Jay Foote, Zavid Hammond, Tasia Chambers, Tasia Dysart, and Bentley Dysart, and his grandparents, Linda Nelson, David Nelson, Brenda Foote, Neil Foote, along with a large extended family and a multitude of friends who considered him family. His presence in their lives was a gift, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

Though his life was tragically cut short, Zackrie's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his radiant smile, his generous spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

A memorial service to honor Zackrie's life will be held on [7/20/2024] at [7:00am] at [Green Lawn Cemetery]. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to [wounded warrior project], an organization close to Zackrie's heart, in his memory.

In these moments of sorrow, we find comfort in the love that Zackrie shared with us and the beautiful memories he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Zackrie. You will be forever missed and eternally loved.
