Obituario

Zach's original delivery date was on Friday 13, 1992. My Doctor called me Thursday night. He told me he was way too busy due to the Full moon. The Doctor said don't come on Friday morning. Come in Saturday, November 14, 1992, instead. I told him fine. Well while I was having a baby. The boys were watching the USC Football Game. I was ready to push but my husband and the Dr. wanted to watch the touchdown. Zach had other plans in mind because he was coming. Zach was a beautiful little boy. He was just perfect.

Zach was our 3rd. child, we had two girls now we had our boy. We were very excited. The whole family was Zachary was excited about Zach he is the only male heir to carry on the family name at this time.

Zach could swim before he could walk. We had a pool in our backyard. He would see the girls swimming all over the pool. He wanted to chase the girls around the pool. I taught Zach how to swim in the backyard. When we were in Palm Springs for Easter. Zach would crawl to the deep end of the pool and dove in. Then he would swim to the steps and crawl out. People at the Hotel were saying your baby is falling in the pool. You had better get him. We would tell them he knows how to swim. They couldn't believe it.

Zach was a very strong toddler. When he was one and a half years old. I was taking a shower and when I got out there was a chair pushed up to the front door but, all of the locks were still locked. I looked around the whole house. Then outside in the play yard. I couldn't find Zachary anywhere. Just to play it safe I went out to the front of the house. I see Zach's little bike with training wheels in the middle of the sidewalk. But no Zach. I start yelling Zach's name. Then a neighbor starts yelling back at me. Saying he's down here. He came to visit us. He was telling Zach that he needed to go home because his mom was looking for him. Zach had climbed over two six-foot fences barehanded and barefooted. Got his bike out of the front yard and went visiting.

Before the age of two Zach learned to ride a two-wheel bike all by himself. He was very coordinated for his age.

At the age of five, he started playing soccer. He had a great kicking leg. He could kick the soccer ball across the whole field. At one point in his soccer playing he accidentally broke one of his teammate's arms by kicking the ball too hard into the goalkeeper. From about age seven on Zach was on the Soccer All-Star Teams.

At age six Zach was the youngest child they ever had on the Swim Team at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, CA. Zach use to always win blue and red ribbons. He asked me why he never got a green ribbon. I told him that green was in sixth place. He always came in first or second place. He said he didn't care he wanted a green ribbon. Zach came in first place in his next race. I asks if they would give him a green ribbon. The lady asked why I told her she said of chores.

For Zach's eighth birthday, I gave him a party. Zach invited all of the boys on his soccer team plus all the boys in second grade a Newport Elementary. We had a bounce house on the ocean front that's where we were living at the time. And when the boys arrived I gave them either a neon green or orange t-shirt to change into. That way we could see them from a distance and know they were with the party. We had a Reptile Zoo Company too come also. All the kids had a great time. Zach was so happy.

Zach couldn't stand bullying. He use to stick up for kids that were getting bullied by bigger kids than themselves. Zach was always taller and bigger than most of the boy's in his grade. Maybe that's why the bullies were afraid of Zach.

When Zach was in the second grade. I took him out of public school. Then I enrolled him in Prentice. A Private School for kids with Dyslexia. It was the best thing I ever did for my son. Zach loved learnings at that school. He went there through fifth grade. Then his Dad said that he couldn't afford his share of the tuition anymore. We all knew that wasn't true. I couldn't afford it by myself. I had no choice I had but to transition Zach back into Public School. I felt like such a failure. This was the start of most of our problems. Zach started doing poorly in school. The school had not even tested Zach. It was all ready December in the 6th grade with no help. I would never blame Zach it's not his fault. It's his father's fault.

At the age of thirteen years old Zach started doing drugs. He started doing small amounts then it became more. Day after day. By the time he was eighteen Zach was a full-blown heroin addict. Zach needed it daily just to be well every day. This is when Zach started going in and out of OC Jail. Zach just could get off probation no matter how much he tried. Zach's addiction was just getting worse and worse.

At about age twenty, I got Lucy into a Detox. Then I was able to talk Zach into going to Taylor Brown's mom's Detox/Rehab Facility for two months. Finally, I had some relief for a short time. Zach got out of the Rehab Facility. On the second day out of rehab. Second day in his Sober Living. Zach got arrested for a warrant he had from before rehab. At least he went to OC Jail Clean this time. It was much easier to go through the loop. Zach did 90 days this time. Zach got out and stayed clean for a while. Then Lucy started using it again. That started Zach right up again. I felt like I wasted $10,000 on Zach's Detox/Rehab Facility. They gave me a discount a half-priced deal. I wasn't going to give up on my son at all though. I'll keep trying I'll do whatever it takes. I didn't care how many times I have to try. Zach is/was worth every penny.

Then a couple of years later, Zach got into another Detox/Rehab Facility all by himself. I was so proud of him. This one was going great. Zach was in the Main House for nine months to a year. Then by that time, Lucy joined him there. Then they moved the two of them to one of their Sober Living Homes for couples. They were doing great for many months later. Someone offered to smoke a joint with them. Needless to say, they got kicked out of their Sober Living House. Then they were on the streets again. Zach and Lucy were doing the couch surfing thing again. They did this for about 9 months to a year and a half. I wasn't going to give up. I got Zachary a new Healthcare Plan. I started talking to Zach again about going back to Detox/Rehab Facility. After a few months, I exhausted Zach and Lucy. They just gave in. Zach was in Detox I got for him for about 10 days. They wouldn't let him talk to me on the phone at all. This made Zach very upset. He found out that they were charging our Insurance Company way over the average Dexot/Rehab Facility charge. Zach got so mad he justified walking out.

I didn't know where he was. I was so worried and mad at the same time. He didn't have a phone. I didn't know what he was going to call me. Then I got a call that night. He told me that they weren't feeding the guys and they were not giving them their medication when they were supposed to. Zach was worried about Lucy. He just wanted to get her. While I was on the phone with Zach we made a deal. That I would get Lucy and him two tickets on the Greyhound Bus to Boise, ID. Then we would use his Insurance up in Boise, ID to get them clean and sober. Then they would live with me in Boise, ID.

I had a cute house right in Downtown Boise by the River. It would be a great place for them to get CLEAN.
