Yvonne was born and grew up in Worcester, MA. She had four children and was married to Bryant Williams for forty-plus years. She is survived by their children Ralph (Teresa), Vanessa, Hassan (Alenor), and Sheara, their ten grandchildren, their nine great-grandchildren, and three of five (Norman, Andrea, Ponche, Brenda, and Claudia) surviving siblings and their children.
Yvonne was instrumental in renaming Nubian Square and establishing the Black Economic Justice Society. She was a professional painting contractor for B. Williams Painting Company for over forty years, and a secretary at MIT and the Dana Farber Cancer Center.
As beautifully said, Yvonne Williams was a wonderful lady. She loved to laugh, sing in her choir, drink coffee and tea, attend social events, and fellowship with friends and family.
Her smile and acts of kindness will be greatly missed.
