Yvonne Marie Decker, born on November 28, 1953, in Gooding, Idaho, passed away on September 4, 2024, in Mountain Home, Idaho. A beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Yvonne was the second daughter of Bud and Orie Decker, and she is survived by her two sisters, Terrie and Claudia.
Yvonne poured her heart and soul into her family, dedicating her life to raising her daughters, Tacia and Heather, and cherishing time spent with her grandchildren: Kaysia, Anthony, Annessa, Max, Issac, and Dawson. She also delighted in the company of her great-grandchildren: AJ, Rylee, Paxton, Willow, Leighton, Vonnie, and Xavier, who brought endless joy to her life.
A resident of Mountain Home for many years, Yvonne spent her childhood summers in Pine and attended school in Glenns Ferry. She held various positions throughout her life, including working as a bank teller and an administrative assistant. Known affectionately as "Von" or "Vonnie," she had a vibrant spirit and a unique flair for life that made her unforgettable.
Yvonne had a passion for playing Blackjack in Jackpot and enjoyed reading and dancing, particularly teaching her grandkids how to jitterbug. She was a talented cook, famous for her spare ribs and chicken and noodles, which brought family together around the dinner table. Her favorite place in the world was the Oregon coast, where she found peace and happiness.
Yvonne lived by the motto, "Dance like no one is watching," and she indeed danced through life with a radiant energy that touched those around her. Her bright spirit and love for family will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. Yvonne's light will never dim; she shined brighter than any star, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to inspire those she touched.
