Yvette (Molly) Ann Stewart Parris, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 66. She was born on August 3, 1957, in Guyana and resided in Brooklyn, NY. Yvette, known affectionately as Molly, had a vibrant personality and touched the lives of many.
Yvette had a passion for dancing, cooking, and being a grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her eight grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Yvette was deeply involved in the church and found solace in her faith. She loved nothing more than attending church services, traveling, and dressing up for special occasions.
Professionally, Yvette served as a dedicated dietician at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn. She took pride in her work and made a positive impact on the lives of her patients and colleagues.
Yvette leaves behind her only sister, Doreen Parris, and her children, Shawn, Natasha, and Kevin. She is also survived by her other children, Andrea, Nicola, and Desmond, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Yvette was married to Collin Stewart on February 16, 1993.
Her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Yvette's warm and caring nature made a lasting impression on those around her. She will be remembered for her love, generosity, and infectious laughter.
Yvette's favorite place in the world was her birthplace, Guyana. It held a special place in her heart, and she treasured her memories from there.
In honor of Yvette's life, her family and friends will gather to celebrate her legacy. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and happiness she shared with all who knew her.
As Yvette would often say, "Life is to be lived with family and friends." May she rest in peace, knowing she made a profound impact on the lives of others through her kindness and compassion.
