Yolanda C Alvarez - March 23, 1934 to June 6, 2024
Yolanda C Alvarez, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born in Habana, Cuba on March 23, 1934, and most recently resided in McKinney, TX.
Yolanda had a deep passion for listening to Bible recordings and sharing the teachings of God with others. She found great joy in being in the ministry, speaking and teaching about God's promises and His love for mankind. Yolanda's unwavering faith and dedication to her spiritual beliefs were an inspiration to all who knew her.
In her free time, Yolanda enjoyed listening to songs from her era and singing along. Her favorite bands were Los Angeles Negro and Andrea Bocelli. She also had a love for Cuban red beans with masitas de puerco and her daughter's homemade flan, which brought her much comfort and delight.
Yolanda had a fondness for watching Sabado Gigante, and she found great excitement in cheering for her favorite baseball team. She had a soft spot for her pets, Jonnie, a mutt she had in Cuba, and Triny, her white poodle.
Yolanda's legacy is carried on by her children: Reinaldo Godinez, Jorge Godinez, Ricardo Godinez, David de Armas, and daughter Yolanda Godinez. She was a loving grandmother to Viviani, Rey Jr, George, Misty, Ricky, Jesse, Leslie, Jael, Eric, and her eleven great-grandchildren.
Yolanda C Alvarez will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as she leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of faith. May she rest in eternal peace.
