Yasmine Latrice Martinez, born on December 22, 1985, in Chicago, IL, passed away on July 10, 2024, in Atlanta, GA. A devoted mother, caring nurse, and passionate individual, Yasmine dedicated her life to the well-being of her children and family.

Yasmine loved to sow and had a special fondness for chicken, often preparing it for her loved ones. As a registered nurse, she worked tirelessly to help others, embodying her belief that “you don’t work, you don’t eat.” Her career in nursing began after moving from New York to California, where she pursued her dreams and made a significant impact on the lives of her patients and colleagues.

One of Yasmine's proudest accomplishments was the birth of her daughter, Lauren, and her joy was further amplified by the achievements of her son’s Corneilus and Aiden, she graduated with a nursing degree from Spelman College. She was also a loving partner to Elmore Atkins, with whom she shared 23 years of her life.

Yasmine was a strong-willed woman who never backed down from a challenge; she was described as a little firecracker. Her love and kindness extended beyond her family, as she consistently sought to uplift those around her, often prioritizing the needs of others over her own. A devoted Christian, Yasmine loved the Lord and inspired many with her faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren; her son, Cornelius; and her son, Aiden and fiancé, Elmore. Yasmine will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her fierce love for her family, and her commitment to helping others. Her legacy of compassion and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
