Yashea Joanna Jean Chapel began her life journey here on earth June 27,19995. She was born in Birmingham, AL raised in Yerkwood (on the hill). Yashea was a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. E Hood. She was an excellent student at Dora High School where she was known for her team work by her teammates on and off the court. She graduated in 2012. Her initial hand into the workforce was a CNA at CherryHill Rehabilitation Center where she was well known for her hard work and selflessness. In 2019, Yashea chose to become a correctional officer at William E. Donaldson Correctional Offier, yet she continued to care for those at the nursing facility. She was the person we all could depend on. Her heart was filled with love and you could always count on her to be there. November 9,2023, Yashea gain the wings that we are all PROMISED at some point in time. SHE WILL TRUELY BE MISSED!

Yashea was preceded in death by: Dinella and Nakia Chapel(sisters), Destiney Hinkle(aunt), Shirley Smoot (grandmother), David Carlisle (grandfather), Aljoshua Smoot(nephew). She leaves her memories to be cherished by Tyson William(1st heartbeat), Tori Williams(2nd heartbeat), Jatorey Williams(Childrens' father), Betty Davidson(mother), Micheal Smoot(father), Mike D(stepdad), Jayla & Tyesha Smoots(sisters), 6 brothers: Micheal Smoot Jr, Marquis Chapel, LaDarius Johnson, Terrance Johnson and Marcell Davidson, Cameron Davis.One of the most loving grandmothers a child could have Betty Jean Lawson. Yashea was also blessed with and abundant number of nieces, nephews, aunts ,uncles and cousins that she loved dearly.
