Xiomara Isabel Diaz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and guidance counselor, passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on October 11, 1959, in Barranquilla, Atlantico, Colombia, Xiomara had a zest for life that was truly contagious.
Xiomara was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Armando Diaz, and a dedicated mother to her children Vanessa Isabel Diaz, Armando Xavier Diaz, and Fatima Alba. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to her cherished grandchildren Michelle, Isabella, Dante, and Autumn.
Xiomara's laughter was her superpower, resonating throughout any room she entered and filling the hearts of those around her with joy. Her gentle guidance and words of wisdom were a testament to her caring nature. Xiomara had an incredible ability to selflessly love her family and friends unconditionally, always putting their needs before her own.
In addition to her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother, Xiomara found solace in her favorite hobbies. She loved shopping, cooking delicious meals, making jewelry, and most of all, being surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Professionally, Xiomara served as a Guidance Counselor for the NYS Board of Education, where her compassion and dedication positively impacted the lives of countless students.
Xiomara leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
