WInfred Avant Jr., affectionately known as "Bookie," was born on March 17, 1994, in Redding, California, and passed away on October 4, 2024. WInfred was a vibrant spirit whose love for life was evident in everything he did. Growing up in the Martin Luther King Jr. Park, he created countless memories skateboarding, riding bikes, and enjoying the company of friends and family. He was actively involved in local center activities and programs, which shaped his joyful personality.

An enthusiastic dancer, WInfred lit up any room with his infectious smile and laughter. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones, often centered around his favorite foods: BBQ, steak, and shrimp. His love for sports, particularly the 49ers, was another passion he shared with those close to him.

WInfred is remembered not only for his zest for life but also for his caring nature. He was a pillar of support for many, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His ability to make people laugh, regardless of his own challenges, left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, WInfred Avant Sr. and Diane Crockett, alongside a loving family that includes Krishna Rodgers, Teka Rodgers, Joseph Rodgers, Lamar Rodgers, Gregory Van Drumgoole, Joshua Wright, Antwon Wright, Mark Williams, Eighthesia Crockett, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. WInfred's legacy of love, joy, and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
