Willie's favorite thing he loved reading his Bible and growing his relationship with God. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing in his pond, trout fishing in the stream, hunting, golfing, he even liked baking his ding dong cakes for people he loved. Being outdoor always put a smile on his face. He enjoyed making wishing wells out of wood. He learned to flip a quarter on his wrist and loves seeing the excitement on others faces. On rainy days he watching his westerners with John Wayne- Duke, Bonanza, Gun smoke or The Lone Ranger. If not he would sit on the porch and listen to the rain.
Willie's favorite foods, he loved biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, frog legs, ham and bean soup with corn bread, stuff shells, we can forget his wife chicken and dumplings. Willie also had a big sweet tooth! Raisin pie, coconut cream pie, Pecan ice cream, honey buns and his candies! Willie would also tell stories about eating crackers and mustard his dad would pick up for him as a child.
Willie was loved by so many. He was patient and wise. Also tried to make others smile. He was a simple man. His famous quote while preaching was, "If you like the way you're treated today. Come on back tonight. If you didn't, well, come on back anyway. We'll treat you all sorts of ways. You're bound to like one of them."
