Bill was born to the union of Alexander and Johnnie Mae Cummings. Bill was the seventh son and the seventh child of a family of 16 children. Bill accepted Christ at an early age. Bill attended Detroit Public Schools. Where he graduated high school with honors. Bill worked with the Illitch Companies in Parking Enforcement for over 20 years. Bill's life partner Kimberly Bew preceded him death. Bill lived a full life. He enjoyed sharing his love of Jazz music with all that would listen. He was full of old family stories and history. Bill leave not to mourn her parting, but to rejoice in her memory, one brother Robert Paul Cummings ( Mercedes ) Marlene Irby ( Richard ) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
