Organic gardening, travel, planting trees, volunteering for animal welfare causes, volunteering for humanitarian causes, playing guitar and bass guitar
Fruits of every variety, especially tropical. Vegetables of every variety, especially carrots.
Will enjoyed all sorts of types of music. He seemed to enjoy much of Chris Cornell's music, and also Pink Floyd. He really enjoyed making music with friends more than just listening. He was excellent on the bass guitar and played whenever he had spare time.
Will was a true tree planter who planted probably 1000's of trees in different countries. He also was a vegetarian for the last 34 years, and cared deeply for animals, people, and the environment. He texted his mother daily, and loved her deeply. He lived very frugally in his modest home, more so than almost any American. He didn't own a TV, or hardly anything really, other than books of interest for study, the few necessary tools required for food preparation and working. He always used as little as possible, always turning off electricity when not in use, and even canceling his garbage service because he hardly generated any trash. And work he did, diligently working constantly, saving his money, and volunteering all of his spare time helping others whenever the opportunity arose. He truly left a small footprint on the environment, and truly cared deeply, and respected, all of life's living creations.
His children, family, and friends.
Wherever the warm sun was shining, and plants were thriving. He loved being outdoors in the sun, wind, and rain. He loved streams and taking long walks in nature.
This I don't know, because he was hardly ever idle, if ever, and did not own a TV.
Will played Little League baseball for many years early in life. He also enjoyed swimming in oceans, rivers, and lakes.
Obituary of William Maurice Hill II
DOB: 03/24/1970
William Maurice Hill II, 54, passed away on 10/24/2024 of natural causes. Born on 03/24/1970 in Pasadena, CA, William lived a generous and vibrant life from beginning to end, and he touched the hearts and lives of many along his way. He grew up in West Covina, CA, later moving to Oregon, where he was a passionate and hardworking volunteer for many humanitarian causes including the food bank, several animal charities, and Friends of Trees.
He traveled the world with resolute fearlessness, fortitude, and endurance, becoming a language teacher in Thailand, and volunteering his diligent hands abroad and at home with many farmers, and helping common people. He enjoyed playing both guitar and bass in his spare time, and he was a tree planter, sowing probably thousands of trees in his hard working life. He enjoyed organic farming and gardening with a rare passion, which was a great joy for him, as well as those who received the benefit of his generosity.
He was a father who deeply loved his two surviving children, son William Angus, and daughter Serena Marlene. He was a beloved son to his mother Jean, and a deeply loved brother to his siblings Joni, Jeff, and Joe. We all love him and are going to miss his exceptionally warm heart.
Rest in Peace, dear William.
