William Joseph Gittings Jr, known fondly as Bill, passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on March 8, 1971, in Derby, CT, he most recently resided in Seymour, CT with his wife.

Bill was a devoted husband to Marcy Gittings, 53, and a loving father to their two children, Coral Thompson, 29, and Nicholas Gittings, 27. He shared a special bond with his family, enjoying long discussions and playful banter. Bill's quiet and polite demeanor endeared him to strangers, while his sense of humor and warmth made him a cherished presence at home.

An avid fan of 80's music, Bill found joy in listening to his favorite bands and also enjoyed playing Hay Day on his cell phone. He could often be found enjoying a slice of Pepe's pizza, a Hummel hot dog, or indulging in sweets. His love for entertainment was evident in his favorite TV shows, "The Sopranos," and any 80's scary movie such as the series "Halloween" or "Friday the 13th." He was also a fan of the paranormal, including "Ghost Hunters" and medium "Matt Frasier."

Bill is also survived by his younger brother, Jason Gittings, 45, and who, along with his family, will remember him fondly. He leaves behind his beloved pets, Cali and Leo, who brought him great joy.

Bill was preceded by his parents William Gittings Sr and Diane Gittings. Also lost but not forgotten is his sister in law Pamela Kozel who also passed away this year.

Bill's kind spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
