St.Martinville- A Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday January 4,2025 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Honoring the life of William C.Guidry Sr. 71, who passed away on Sunday December 22, 2024 at the Carpenter House.
A visitation will take place at the Golden Meadow Funeral Home in St.Martinville,La Saturday morning 9a-12:30pm
Born on June 14th 1953 to his parents Horance and Verna Francois Guidry. He dedicated his life to his family, church, and working until he was no longer able to.He married and shared 47 years with his late loving wife Kathleen E.Guidry. Within their union they had 6 kids. (That he loved in his own special way.) Prior to their marriage he had a son whose his reflection Donald Felix Sr.
William (Pinky or Poboy) as we knew him by. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and grandsons. He enjoyed playing in his garden and bragging on his vegetables. His true passion was to build and drag race his own car/truck on the track. He challenged anyone who came his way.
He is survived by his children Donald Felix Sr.,Tamika Guidry,DaLester Jones,Kaonie Guidry,William Guidry Jr. and Shaylynne “Zackery Sr” Perrodin, 22 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren 5 sister in laws Patricia Martinez,Margaret Savoy, Susan Etienne, Cheryl Etienne,Judy Etienne.A host of nieces,nephews,cousins and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Horace and Verna Francois Guidry,his late loving wife Kathleen E Guidry, his daughter Raquel Guidry his 2 brothers Norris Guidry and Joseph Collins Sr., his mother in law Tellamay Etienne, his father in law Louis Etienne Sr.,his 3 sister in laws Verna Garrett,Jane Etienne, and Jean Guidry. His 4 brother in laws Louis Etienne Jr., Billy Etienne,David Etienne and Willie Savoy.

In honoring Williams memory, his family expresses their gratitude for all the love and support from the community thank you to Iberia Manor South,Ochsner Lafayette General, and Carpenter House for the care that was provided for him. With all the love from the bottom of our hearts we want to give a very special thank you to Mrs. Kathleen Guidry, who was his nurse at Carpenter House who made his transition as peaceful as possible.
