William's favorite hobbies

He loved the snow, just playing in our backyard brought a smile to his face. Anytime we'd have time off he'd beg us to drive to Wisp so he could snowboard. I'd say he loved to snowboard just as much as he loved us.

His favorite foods were any food made by his grandmother.

Obituary

William Cheong
March 24, 2006 - February 21, 2024

William Cheong, lovingly known as Will, passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 17 in Ellicott City, MD. He was born on March 24, 2006, in his beloved hometown of Ellicott City.

Will was a young man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite hobby was playing in the snow, and he would often spend hours snowboarding at Wisp whenever he had the chance. The sight of him enjoying the snow in the backyard always brought a smile to his face, a reflection of his pure and unadulterated happiness.

When it came to food, Will had a special love for his grandmother's cooking. He savored every dish she made, cherishing the flavors and the memories they created together.

An interesting fact about Will was his unwavering belief in knowing his future. From a young age, he confidently shared his visions of the years to come, from the names of his future children to the color of his wife's eyes. It was a testament to his imagination and optimism.

Above all, Will's favorite place in the world was his grandparents' house. He cherished the times he spent there, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever he could escape from home.

Will is survived by his parents, Jin Ae and Eun Cheong, his siblings Keen, Kristan, and Bailey Cheong, as well as his grandparents MinJun and Yeong-ja Cheong, and Chul and Ae-Jung Kim.

William Cheong will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. May he find eternal peace in the snowy slopes of the heavens.
