In Loving Memory of William B Bender

William B Bender, affectionately known as Ben, was born on June 7, 1940, in Little River, SC. He peacefully passed away on June 14, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, SC, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ben had a deep passion for fishing and playing cards. He loved indulging in his favorite seafood dishes and cherished moments spent with his family. His favorite place in the world was being in the comfort of his own home.

Ben proudly served his country as a retired airman for 30 years, a true testament to his dedication and commitment. His proudest accomplishment was his service in the military. He held strong to the motto, "Life is short. Love your family."

Ben was married to the love of his life, Bernice Sanders. Together, they shared a beautiful journey filled with love and cherished memories. Ben leaves behind two sons, Wayne Bender and Sean Bender, as well as four grandsons, Darrell Stevenson, Wayne Bender, Keith Bender, and Andre Bender, and two granddaughters, Tremille Chestnut and Tiana Bender.

Blunt, honest, and down to earth, Ben left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He impacted the lives of others with his genuine kindness and warm-hearted nature. He was involved in numerous charities dedicated to disabled veterans, always willing to lend a helping hand.

William B Bender, or Ben as he was known to many, will be deeply missed. His memory and legacy will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
