Obituary
Today, we pause to remember William “Bill” Crabtree, a man born on December 14th, 1957, in Lawrence, Kansas, who lived his life with a quiet strength and a love for all the wonders the world had to offer. On August 20th, 2024, Bill left us, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and generosity that will echo long after he’s gone.
Bill was a man of the outdoors—a soul who found peace on the golf course, joy in the rush of skiing, and a sense of purpose in always being on the move. His love for animals and his family were constants in his life, and he was never one to hesitate when someone needed help. Bill didn’t need grand gestures to make an impact—he did it through small, steady acts of love and service, day in and day out.
He is survived by his father, Richard, his sisters, Joyce and Kathy, and his four children, Jason, Chad, Jessica, and Liberti. His mother, Jacqueline, and his sister, Michelle, have already gone ahead to the next chapter, waiting for him there.
Bill Crabtree was a man whose life was full of love, action, and the beauty of the natural world. And though he may no longer walk among us, the light of his memory will never fade.
