He was raised as a child with 8 siblings. He had two sons and Four Daughters and several grandchildren who he adored. He had many friends who he considered apart of his Family. He was loved by Everyone, always laughing and making jokes. Well known for being a comedian in so many ways. A very loving Father who loved his kids more than anything.

Willard Carl Simpson, affectionately known as Billy, was born on February 18, 1948, in Suffern, NY, and passed away on August 31, 2024, in the Tampa Bay Area, FL. A beloved figure in his community, Billy was a skilled car mechanic well-known for his infectious laughter and remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family.
Raised among eight siblings, Billy embodied the spirit of family throughout his life. He was a devoted father to six children: Dawn Harrison, Jimmy Simpson (deceased), Dale Holland,Tammy Holland, Loretta Bell, and Heather Manning. His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren—Tyler Holland, James Holland, Alicia Perkell, Taylor Holland, Connor Madden, Jacob Manning, Kyle Manning, Avalon Bell, Luke Holland, Logan Grant and Matthew Grant—and four great-grandchildren: Darrell Perkell Jr. (8), Nikolas Perkell (3), Austin Tomlinson (10), and Weston Maverick Holland (3). He also embraced two step-daughters, and 2 two step grandchildren, Krystal and John, from his long-term relationship with Anna Vaughn (deceased).
Billy was married twice, first to Judy Simpson (deceased) and later to his widow, Sue Simpson. He was known for his passion for cooking, often preparing large meals for family and friends, and he loved nothing more than sharing his home with those he held dear. His love for country music, particularly the works of Waylon Jennings, filled the air as he worked on cars, often singing along. He enjoyed watching wrestling and was an avid fan of the show "Law and Order."
Known for his humorous spirit, Billy had a knack for making everyone around him laugh. His favorite quotes, "Hello Darlin'" and "It's me again Margaret," were often heard in his warm presence. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, considering them his greatest accomplishments.
Billy is survived by his widow, Sue Simpson, four remaining siblings—David, Laura, Sadie, and Carl—and an extended family that includes his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. His impact on those around him was profound; he opened his heart and home to friends and family alike, leaving a lasting impression of love and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
