Virginia Aguilar, born on July 31, 1946, in Colón, Panama, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Augusta, GA. A beloved member of her community, affectionately called "Mrs. Aguilar" or "Buela", was known for her warm spirit and her ability to connect with everyone she met. She dedicated 10 years as a school volunteer at C.T. Walker, where her commitment and kindness earned her the title of Volunteer of the Year. She then dedicated 4 more years as a volunteer at A.R. Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jorge Luis Aguilar, Sr., and their three children: Oriana Oliver (John), Omaira Aguilar, and Jorge Aguilar Jr. (Sharon). Virginia was a proud grandmother to Adriana, Kiana (Audie), Matthew, Preston, Bree'Anna, and Skyler; as well as a great-grandmother to Eli and Emmie. She also leaves behind a twin brother, Virgilio.
Virginia had a passion for life that shone through her many hobbies. She enjoyed spending her free time engaging in word searches, crocheting, and sewing. She cherished moments spent laughing with friends and watching her favorite television shows, including "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Young and the Restless," and "Family Feud."
Virginia's caring nature and thoughtfulness defined her personality. She never met a stranger and was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her legacy of love and service will be remembered by all who knew her.
