Violet Anita Cole Satterthwaite, affectionately known as "Vi," passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 101. Born on October 24, 1922, in New Haven, Connecticut. Violet was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughters, Carol Scofield (Kenneth) and Susan Bailey, and she took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Vincent Borzillo Sr. (Erica), Bethanny Scofield, Dominic Borzillo, Logan Bailey, Myles Bailey, and Emily Bailey. In addition, she leaves behind 11 cherished great-grandchildren.
Violet worked for Southern New England Telephone and was known not only for her professional dedication but also for her unwavering love for her family and her deep faith in God. She was a devout Christian whose life was marked by her religious devotion and her nurturing spirit. Violet loved gardening, a hobby that brought her joy and allowed her to create beauty around her. She also enjoyed swimming, relaxing at the beach and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Satterthwaite, with whom she shared many wonderful years. Violet's proudest accomplishments were her family relationships, and she will be remembered for her loving nature and strong faith. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Burial will be private.
