On February 10, 2025 Veronica left this earth to be with the Lord. Veronica (Roni aka Vee to her family and friends) was born October 22, 1958 in Beatrice Alabama to Elmore and Hazel McBride.

At an early age Veronica was baptised at Morning Star Baptist Church in Beatrice Alabama.

She attended Monroe County Training School now J F Shields High School in Beatrice Alabama where she was a member of the marching Panthers. After finishing high school Veronica attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa Alabama.

She then enlisted in the United States Air Force. She did her basic training at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Ms. She was also stationed at Lackland AFB in Texas before being transferred to Vandenberg AFB in California. Where she met and married LeRoy "Slim" Butler. To this union two children were born, a son Dominique Xavier Butler whom "Slim" delivered in a home birth. And a daughter Tia Monshe Butler.

Roni was proceeded in death by her parents Elmore and Hazel McBride of Beatrice Al. Her husband Leroy Butler. Her son Dominique Xavier Butler of Las Vegas Nv. One brother Sherman McBride of Framingham Ma. Two sisters Gloria McBride of San Diego Ca and Angela McCants of Cantonment Fl.

Veronica's memory will forever be cherished by her daughter Tia Monshe Butler. Her granddaughter Lia Butler. Three brothers Elmore McBride Jr. Clifton McBride and James(Tara) McBride all of California. Two sisters Bertha Johnson of Laurel Ms and Sherrie Nettles of Springfield Mo. Three Nephews Lt Col LaBarron McBride (Christy) of Alexandria Va. Dion Nettles of Springfield Mo and Tristan Mitchell of Glen Burnie Md. Five nieces Francis Spencer of Laurel Ms Valerie and Moriah Mitchell of Glen Burnie Md Titiyana McBride of Montgomery Al and Adrianna McBride of Alexandria Va. A devoted sister in law Gwendolyn McBride of Framingham Ma. A special friend and classmate Patricia Packer of Mobile Al. And a host of cousins and friends.
