Vannessa Mae Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, and retired registered nurse, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on August 27, 1951, in Hampton, VA, and most recently resided in Indianapolis, IN.
Vannessa was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in tending to her home and nurturing her plants, which flourished under her gentle care. Her green thumb was admired by all who knew her.
Vannessa's dedication to her community and profession was commendable. She served as a registered nurse for many years, providing compassionate care to those in need. Her commitment to the well-being of others touched countless lives, and she retired having made a significant impact in her field.
Family was of utmost importance to Vannessa. She leaves behind her children, Helen Taylor, De Andra Warner, Michelle McClain, Alberta Taylor, and Ricara Taylor, who all followed in her footsteps and became registered nurses themselves.
Vannessa was also blessed with a large and loving extended family. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Dawon Steele, Vannessa Christopher Bradford, Kayla Taylor, Erica Grundy, Lissette Millener, Isaiah Parrish Jr, Tyauni Parrish, Lyric Phillips, Gerel Whilhite, Carmen Phillips, King Degraphenreed, and Elissa Green. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time spent with them.
Vannessa is survived by her Brothers Richard Coleman and Rodney Stewart, She will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer support to those in need. Her charitable spirit and loving presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Vannessa's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. She gave her life to God at a very young age and remained faithful throughout her journey. Her dedication to her spiritual beliefs served as an inspiration to others and brought her comfort and strength in times of joy and sorrow.
In honoring Vannessa Mae Taylor's memory, her family kindly requests that donations be made to a local charity of your choice in her name. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched. She will be forever missed and remembered with love.
