Valerie's spirit shone brightly in her role as an IHSS Provider, where she dedicated herself to caring for the elderly. Her kindness and hard work left a lasting impact on those she served and those who knew her. As a beloved Tia, Valerie cherished her time with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and close friends, bringing joy and laughter into their lives.

Known for her infectious humor and intelligence, Valerie had a remarkable ability to uplift those around her. She had a favorite saying: "At the end of the day, the days got to end," which reflected her perspective on life’s fleeting moments and the importance of cherishing them.

Valerie had a special fondness for Reese’s and a good steak, which were often enjoyed during gatherings with her loved ones. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her as a solid individual, a source of strength, and a beacon of light in their lives. She is survived by her son Cowie, sisters , nieces, nephews, grandparents, and many close friends who will miss her dearly.
