Valarie was a dedicated Bio Medical Technician, and one of her proudest accomplishments was receiving her high school diploma. She had a passion for life that was reflected in her favorite hobbies, which included reading her Bible, dancing, and watching fiction films. Valarie loved nothing more than spending quality time with her grandchildren, Shyla and Cairo, and was a vibrant presence in their lives.

With a love for music that spanned genres, Valarie found joy in the melodies of Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Aretha Franklin, and Donnie McClurkin. Her favorite place in the world was Negril, Jamaica, a paradise that resonated with her spirit. Valarie also enjoyed indulging in good food that nourished the soul and had an eye for vibrant eyeglasses, jewelry, and expressive hairstyles.

Valarie was an outspoken and compassionate individual who touched the lives of many. As a sponsor in Narcotics Anonymous, she offered support and guidance to those in need, embodying her Christian faith through her actions. She was actively involved in her community, participating in the Young Adult Choir, the Women’s Christian Guild, and the Women’s Day Choir.

She leaves behind her son, Rashad Christopher Ford, her sisters Shirley, Catherine, Doris, and Kim, and her brothers David and James. Valarie's legacy of love, faith, and community service will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
