She loved any kind of asian food. Yellow curry and fried rice, Korean BBQ, Benihana's, Mexican food, chile rellenos and bean burritos.
She had and eclectic taste in music but you could always count on her to jam out to some Akon in the car.
She was born in Vallejo, CA but was adopted and grew up in Chico, CA and spent time as a child in Florida.
Spending time with her family.
Wherever her family was.
She had the most generous heart. Always willing to help someone in need. She was always looking for the good in people.

Ulla Elena Norlie-Gonzales, born on October 23, 1972, in Vallejo, CA, passed away on August 9, 2024, in Sacramento, CA. She was adopted and raised in Chico, CA, where she spent her childhood and formed lifelong bonds. Ulla was a devoted mother to Kristena Terrazas and Gabe and Jacob Gonzales, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandbabies, Oaklynn Elena Renee DeLaVega and William Wayne DeLaVega.
Ulla was known for her generous heart and caring nature, always looking for the good in people and ready to help anyone in need. Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially during their weekly visits. She appreciated the simple pleasures in life, from indulging in her favorite Asian dishes, such as yellow curry, fried rice, and Korean BBQ, to enjoying the entertainment of cheesy telenovelas.
Professionally, Ulla excelled as a manager at Sacramento Bail Bonds and Joyeria, showcasing her dedication and hard-working spirit. She had an eclectic taste in music, often jamming out to Akon in the car, and her sense of humor brought joy to those around her.
Known affectionately as Elena, Ulla was the glue that held her family together, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those she loved. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Melinda Norlie, her brother Mac Norlie, her husband Matthew Gonzales, and her children and grandchildren. Ulla will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her intelligence, humor, and the love she shared with all.
