Tyrone Darnell Elias Sr., affectionately known as "TY," was born on October 10, 1956, in Chestertown, MD, and passed away on October 19, 2024, in Virginia Beach, VA. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the Navy, earning the respect and admiration of those around him.

Tyrone was a man of many passions. He loved attending football games, particularly cheering for the Washington Commanders, and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. His love for seafood was well-known; he delighted in all kinds of seafood, especially fish. Music also played a significant role in his life, with Teddy Pendergrass being his favorite artist.

Above all else, Tyrone cherished his family, particularly his children, Tyrone Elias Jr. and Diane Elias, as well as his beloved grandchildren. He took great pride in watching his family grow and thrive, and his influence as a supportive and encouraging figure in their lives will never be forgotten. Tyrone’s warm spirit and humor made him a joy to be around, and he was truly loved by all who knew him.

Tyrone had a favorite saying: "Forgive but don't forget," reflecting his wise and thoughtful nature. He was known for being funny, cool, and outgoing, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His favorite place in the world was always home in Chestertown, MD, where he created countless cherished memories.
