Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin was born in Trammel, Virginia.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Frances Ruth Bentley Chaffin.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin had two sisters, Cynthia Swanson and Shirley Castle, and three brothers, Macel Eugene Chaffin, Roy Chaffin, and James Chaffin, Sr.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin was also preceded in death by his fiancé, Betty Johnson.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin was the retired owner/operator of Troy's Garage, specialized in diesel mechanics. He also worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois, and was a truck driver/mechanic for Arrington Trucking. He obtained certification in television repair.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin was of the Christian Faith.
Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin is survived by one daughter, Susan Chaffin Cornett and husband, Dean, two granddaughters, Caitlin Cornett Wilcox and husband, Devon, and Lauren Cornett. He is also survived by one brother, Winston Chaffin, several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services for Troy "Cracker" Lee Chaffin will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2023, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia, with Rev. Rick Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Robert Castle, James Chaffin Jr., Mack Castle, III, Spencer Boyd, Winston Chaffin, Jr., and Tyler Castle.
