He loved collecting artifacts, camping, reading, being with friends and family, and anything to do with the outdoors. He liked making carvings out of wood and was exceptional at doing it.
He loved just about any food but pop tarts and fruity pebbles was his favorite.
Being outdoors. He would be outside from the time he got up until he went to bed. He also loved his cat Blue.
The outdoors.
His cat Blue.
Travis Allen Miller, born on August 12, 1978, in Webster Springs, WV, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Webster County, WV. Known affectionately as "Flea” or “Bubby” as his sister called him. Travis was a beloved son, companion, brother, uncle, cousin and friend whose passion for the outdoors defined much of his life.
Travis enjoyed collecting artifacts, camping, and spending time in nature. He was an avid reader and had a remarkable talent for wood carving, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected his love for the natural world.
A proud wrestler in high school, Travis achieved the honor of competing at the state level, a testament to his dedication and athletic spirit. He cherished his time with friends and family, and nothing made him happier than being outdoors, often accompanied by his beloved cat, Blue.
Travis is survived by his mother, Cynthia Barbe (Nathan Barbe), his father, Stephen Miller, and his sister, Stacey Williams (Josh Williams) and his companion of over 20 years Megan Cook. He leaves behind six nephews: Cody Hamrick, Jaron Hamrick, Jeffery Bennett, Damien Williams, Levi Williams, and Connor Williams, as well as a niece, Eliza Williams. Travis also had several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his “special” aunts Jeannie Miller (Crystal Cutlip) and Melissa Miller, that checked on him daily. His uncle Kevin Cogar held a special place in his heart and was someone he greatly admired.
Travis will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as his spirit and love for life will continue to inspire those he touched.
