Obituario

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Tracy Lydell Hardin who left us on June 7,2024 He was 55 years old.

Tra as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on May 20 1969 to Robena Hardin and the late Ronald Lawson in New York. He grew up in East Harlem New York where he attended P.S109/Manhattan East and graduated with honors from Alfred E. Smith high school. He later pursued his passion for education and success at Pensacola State College.

Tracy was a hardworking and dedicated person who excelled in his career at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Tracy was a World Trade Center survivor who decided to make a change in careers and location. He moved to Pensacola Florida and succeeded as a corrections officer and truck driver. He was known for his exceptional skills and professionalism, and he was respected by his colleagues and clients alike.

Despite his busy schedule, Tracy always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving and caring brother, father,son and friend who was always there for those he loved and cared about whenever they needed him. He had a great sense of humor and an unforgettable laugh, he always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face.

In his free time, Tracy enjoyed traveling,long walks on the beach and most of all spending time with his grandson Jonathan. Tracy was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was always eager to share his knowledge and experiences with others.

Tracy is survived by his mother, Robena Gilmore his siblings Shatia Powell,Richard Gilmore,Steve Boston Ron,Dane and Shaun Lawson. his ex wife Tracy Brown his children Christopher and Daniel Hardin,his grandson Jonathan who affectionately called him Pop Pop. In addition to a host of aunts,uncles,cousins and dear friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rest in peace, dear brother. You will always be in our hearts and memories.
