Obituary

Astoria Cross, beloved daughter, sister, and mother, passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 26. She was born on October 13, 1997, in Nacogdoches, TX, and most recently resided in Timpson, TX.

Tori had a zest for life and enjoyed indulging in her favorite hobbies, such as shopping, spending quality time with her loved ones, and going out to eat. Seafood, pizza, and burgers were among her favorite foods. However, her greatest joy in life was her son, Jr., whom she loved dearly.

Tori found great entertainment in watching comedy TV shows and had a passion for basketball and volleyball. She was commonly known as Tori among her friends and family.

Professionally, Tori attended Panola College and graduated in 2021 as a medical assistant. She began her career at UT Health in Tyler in Pain management and later worked at Nacogdoches Women Services in Nacogdoches, Texas. At the time of her passing, she was pursuing a nursing degree at Panola College.

"Live Life to the fullest" was Tori's motto, and she lived it to the best of her abilities. Graduating from college was one of her proudest accomplishments.

Tori leaves behind her loving son, Quincy Deshun Ratcliff III, as well as her devoted mother and stepfather, Garrick and Shidedra Ray. She is also survived by her two brothers, Jay Bussey and Antany Curtis, and her grandparents, Charles and Beverly Paige.

Tori's goofy and outgoing personality endeared her to everyone she met. She was actively involved in her community, attending Clayton Temple Church of God in Christ.
