Tony Tilley, born on September 8, 1962, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Antioch, Nashville, Tennessee. He was a devoted husband for nearly 40 years and cherished father to three stepchildren: Christian McGuire, Jessica Washburn, and Michael Washburn. Tony also proudly embraced the role of grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Elijah, Maegan, Joshua, Dani, Taylor, Samantha, Sadie, Micah, Emily, Deanna, Presley, and Dalton, as well as a great-grandchild, Axel McGuire.
Throughout his life, Tony was known for his logical and linear thinking, a trait he exhibited even as a child. With an IQ of 170, he enjoyed building things, from shelves to tables, demonstrating his intelligent and creative nature. He worked for the IRS for over 20 years, where his exceptional problem-solving skills were greatly valued.
Tony had a passion for the great outdoors, often spending time fishing and hiking. He loved cooking and sharing meals, especially enjoying his favorite meat and potatoes. A fan of rock music and Elvis Presley, he found joy in listening to his favorite tunes while spending quality time with family, whom he loved above all else.
Tony was characterized by his patience, understanding, and forgiving heart, often providing others with new perspectives on life's challenges. His life motto, "Take care of yourself, always be mindful of others but remember they aren't you," reflected his compassionate nature.
He is survived by his brother, Rick Tilley, who along with his family, will miss him dearly. Tony Tilley's legacy of love and wisdom will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
