Timothy Williams Sr., beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at the age of 71. He was born on July 10, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan to parents Velma Williams and Albert Boykin and through union were children Valeria (proceeded in death) Darryl, Timothy Sr., Donald, Alexader (proceeded in death), Albert Jr. and Rosalind; 4 step children Mardella, Marcella (proceeded in death) Delores and Elizabeth (proceeded in death)
Shortly after completing High School he married Ramona Williams (proceeded on death). Through this union were children Eric Wiliams, Timothy Williams Jr., Harold Williams, David Williams and Katherine Dorrah. Professionally, during his early years, he worked at Frito Lay then transitioned to Detroit Board of Education as a Skilled Trade Painter where he worked for many years and recently retired.
After the death of Ramona, he later remarried Debra Williams and through this union were daughters Andrea Williams and step- daughter Anna Williams. Timothy was a devoted Father and leaves behind a legacy of love also to children Bridgette R. Williams and Eric J. Williams. His family and children brought him immeasurable joy!
Timothy is also survived by his Brother and Sisters; Albert Jr., Rosalind, Delores and Mardella; his children and grandchildren Timothy III, Troy, Lalethea, Eric Demario, Nakayla, Naomi, Hailey, Andrew, David, Isabella, Erykah, Conner and a host of great grandchildren, neices/nephews and cousins. Special honorable mention to Brother and long-time Family Friend J.R. Reid.
His family will remember him for his strength, faith, and inspirational presence. Timothy had a way of making everyone around him smile and laugh, and his lively personality and deep conversations will be sincerely missed.
Timothy was a man of many passions and interests. He had an avid love for music and could always be found singing and dancing to his favorite tunes. From Harold Melvin and Blue Notes to Frank Sinatra, Sade, Jazz, Motown, and Classic R&B, Timothy's musical taste was eclectic and timeless. He was also known for his love of boating, traveling, expertise in painting, and being the life of any party.
When it came to food, Timothy enjoyed indulging in Southern cooked soul food and enjoyed many arrangements of delectable food choices. His favorite place in the world was California, where he found a sense of peace and tranquility.
Timothy's faith was unwavering, and he found solace in reading the Bible and being close to God. His strong conviction and dedication to Jehovah's Witness were evident throughout his life.
Timothy's favorite motto was "Keep Living," and he believed that no news was good news. His proudest accomplishments were his unwavering faith, his dedication to his family, and his Retirement from the Detroit Board of Education.
In honoring Timothy Williams Sr.'s memory, let us remember his zest for life, his infectious laughter, and the impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he touched the lives of so many.
