Tom was an artist, a scholar, and a teacher. He was known for his significant impact in Kairos Prison Ministry, Walk to Emmaus, Fellowship of Christian Magicians, and his local community. He has crafted hundreds of works of art using his woodworking skills and multimedia specialties.
Tom graduated from Ball State University in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in Theater and Communications. He later graduated from Asbury University in 1994 with a Master's in Divinity.
The only thing he loved more than his family was Jesus Christ. His greatest ambition was to learn truths often overlooked in God's word and usher that light to everyone that crossed his path.
Tom's most treasured travel adventure was his trip with his wife, Nita, to the Holy Land, Israel, where they renewed their wedding vows, remembered their baptisms, and visited many biblically significant locations.
Tom was especially interested in "The Chosen" TV series, so much so that he HAD to share it with everyone! Tom led multiple bible studies investigating the journey that "The Chosen" takes the audience. There was a time at the movie theater when the projector went out during the NEW season premier of "The Chosen." In Classic Tom fashion, he led a short public discussion with his fellow movie goers about their favorite moments and how God has used this show in their lives.

Known for his artistic talents, Tom created hundreds of novelties, showcasing his skills in multimedia technologies. His creativity was matched only by his studious nature in the Bible, as he continually sought to understand and share biblical truths. Tom’s enthusiasm for life extended to his favorite TV series, "The Chosen," which he eagerly shared with others, even leading spontaneous Bible studies in theaters.
Tom’s legacy and proudest accomplishment was receiving his mother's faith in Jesus Christ and passing it onto his son. He will be remembered for his significant contributions to his community, his leadership in spiritual growth, and his steadfast faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ.
In his memory, friends and family are invited to celebrate his life and the profound impact he had on their hearts and minds by sharing a story and photo, as is the classic McCormick way.
