Obituary
"people that live deeply have no fear of death"
The world lost a loving soul far too soon from this earth. After struggling with chronic health issues he passed on 7/23/2024 at 4:54am at St Francis Hospital in Hartford.
People that knew Thomas Raney Sr knew that he loved to laugh, and have a good time. He was the prankster of his siblings. He loved his children with all his heart, and when tasked with raising them alone, he stepped up to that challenge.
The nurses that took care of him in the last days referred to him as a "Gentle Giant", this can accurately describe his Tattooed exterior/ against his Teddy bear soul. Tommy, as friends and family referred to him, genuinely loved everyone!
He spent years living in Clyde North Carolina, that he loved bonding with his boys.
For this reason his ashes will be Laid to rest in the mountains of North Carolina.
He eventually moved back up to CT to be with his family. He is also Survived by beloved Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Tommy loved his family, he was at every event you invited him to. He will be missed dearly!
