Tom's Story

Thomas Pinkston also known as "Tom" was born May 6, 1946 in Hemphill, West Virginia to Katie Mae Hill. He departed this life April 8, 2024 at his resident Windsor Apartment. Tom and his family came to New Castle, Delaware in the 50's and he grew up in Dunleith. Thomas attended Dunleith School. Tom was not eligible to go into the army until after the Vietnam War he was drafted. Tom worked many jobs, Longshoreman as one but mostly worked as a construction worker. Tom lived in many places Millside, Southbridge, Delaware City, and New Castle. He was always helping those in need movings things back and forth, when he had a truck, whether they were family or friends. Thomas had a good heart, although he chose to hide it. We love our brother and will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his sister Audrey, niece Crystal, nephew Vernon, uncle June, aunt Claudette, and his grandmother Lillie Mae Pinkston, who helped raise him and his siblings. Tom leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Katie Hill, two sisters, Lillie Pinkston and Rounette Johnson, two brothers, William Pinkston and Keith Hill, step- son Darrell Harding, a host of nieces and nephews, his best friends, Alfred Hall and Debbie, other family members and friends.

When tomorrow starts without me

And I'm not there to see

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

Filled with tears for me

I wish you wouldn't cry

The way you did today

While I'm thinking of many things

We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me

As Much As I Love You

And each time that you think of me

I know you'll miss me too.

When tomorrow starts without me

Don't think we're far apart.

For Every Time You Think Of Me

I'm Right Here In Your Heart

Loving,

Your family
