Obituary

Thomas Paul Orlowski, known to family and friends as Tom, Tommyo, and Ace Orlowski passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on June 22, 1944, in Rockville, CT, and lived the past 54 years in Tolland, CT.

Tom had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. Some of his favorites included bowling, softball, car shows, fishing, camping with the family, and rock & roll. He enjoyed meatloaf, lobster, clams, fried chicken, and Chef Boy R Dee and his favorite bands and musical artists included Jerry Lewis, Fats Domino, and Laura Branigan.

Tom was a car enthusiast and an excellent bowler. He had a remarkable talent for repairing everything. If it couldn’t be fixed he was known for replacing with the same exact thing. He loved nothing more than boasting about his family and spending time with his cars. He was a proud member of the first graduating class of Cheney Tech in Manchester, CT.

Professionally, Tom worked as a machinist and later as a parts inspector. He took great pride in being a good provider for his family. Thomas was married to his beloved spouse, Berdina Orlowski, and they shared many beautiful moments together. They were blessed with two children: daughter Amy Mack and son Thomas R Orlowski. He was also a loving and devoted grandfather to his five grandchildren: Ashley, Thomas M, Justin, Olivia, and Will.

When he wasn't spending time with his family or working, Tom could often be found taking daily walks with his loyal companion, Missy. They would stroll to the park bench on the green and back, creating cherished memories together.

Thomas's favorite place in the world was his home, where he felt safe and content. He had a great fondness for baseball and loved watching the game. Some of his favorite phrases included, “Hey Dude”, "Case closed" and "Good night Irene!"

Thomas Paul Orlowski will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sister Patricia Perry, his loving spouse Berdina, his daughter Amy and spouse Will Mack of South Windsor, his son Thomas R and his wife Becky of Vernon, beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Thomas M, Justin, Olivia, and Will. Along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

May he rest in peace, always remembered for his zest for life and unwavering love for his family.
