Thomas Houston Taylor, known to many as Tom, was born on May 24, 1938, in Grand Rapids. He peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Tom was a well-respected pastor, dedicating his life to his faith and the teachings of Jesus. He found joy in singing praise to the Lord and loved nothing more than being with his family and the people in his church.
On June 21, 1958, Tom married Patricia Ann Sheridan in Portland. Together, they shared a deep bond and a lifetime of love and devotion.
Tom spent his career as a salesman and had a profound impact on the lives of many. He loved teaching the Gospel and volunteering at the Portland Rescue Mission. His kind and caring nature touched the lives of all who crossed his path.
Tom loved being out in nature and one of Tom's achievements was climbing to the summit of Mt. Hood in 1974.
Tom is survived by his children, Debra, Steve, and Lori, as well as his grandchildren, Steven David and Christopher. He was also a proud brother to Barbara.
