Thelma retired in 2011; this gave her time to enjoy life while traveling with her husband and family.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents: Roosevelt & Leolar Sturdivant, husband, John Randolph, dear friend and first husband Marvin Melton, Sr., sisters, Rosa Lee Biddle, Mary Ellen Kersey

Thelma took her rest and leaves to cherish fond memories three sons and one daughter: Marvin Melton, Jr. of the home, Darin Melton (Tracey) of Ludowici, GA, Kevin Melton of the home, step daughter, Tonya Randolph (El Paso), one sister, Daisey Hardy of El Paso, one brother, Welton Sturdivant (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC, five grandchildren, Angela, Amanda, Marquise, Christian, Elijah, seven great grandchildren, Angel, Erionna, Romello, Myonna, Mellodie,Sanquise, Tavaria, two great-great grandchildren, Amireah, Amari, god daughter Mary Pfiel
Thelma was delighted to have had the opportunity to spend time with her god daughter Alice Grier (Peaches)
Thelma had special friends whom made her smile even during her illness: Mary, Reggie, Audrey, Charles, Thelma, Don, Donna, Chris, Amanda, David, Liam, Kason, Brandon, and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends
