Terry Carnell Burris Sr., born on August 14, 1962, in Benton, IL, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Wishram, WA. He was a devoted husband to Patsy Sue Burris, the love of his life and soulmate, whom he met in Goldendale, WA. Together, they shared a life filled with laughter and love.
Terry was a masterful auto mechanic, an excellent fisherman, and a true jack-of-all-trades. His passion for working on cars was matched only by his love for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He was known for his expert cooking skills, often preparing dishes of steak, shrimp, salmon, and venison, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Jeremy Burris, Jason Burris, Kristen Walker, Terry Burris Jr., and Christopher Williams, all of whom he was immensely proud. Terry also leaves behind his two sisters, Tana Burris and Kathy Burris, and his brother, Roy Burris Jr.
A lover of music, Terry found joy in the sounds of Tom Petty, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, and Bon Jovi, often filling his home with the rhythm of rock and roll and oldies. His favorite TV shows included "Young and the Restless," "The Price is Right," and "Deadliest Catch," reflecting his fun-loving personality.
Terry was known for his warm sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a trusted mentor to many throughout his life, sharing words of wisdom and encouraging others to treat everyone with kindness. His motto, "Be cool with your bad self; don't ever lie; treat everyone how you want to be treated," encapsulated his approach to life.
As a leader in his community, Terry left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He will be remembered not only for his many talents and accomplishments but also for the love and support he gave to his family and friends. Terry Carnell Burris Sr. will be dearly missed.
