Tammy loved being outside in her flower garden and soaking up the sun. She also loved spending time with her grandbabies and floating around in the pool.
Tammy Rose, born on April 3, 1970, in Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 54. She faced many health issues over the past several years, and overcame so much. She was a fighter to the end, but she went to her eternal home just in time to spend Christmas with Jesus. As a child, Tammy was happy, always wearing the biggest smile. She loved playing softball, dancing, and swimming at the lake. She was a member of the Muskogee High School Drill team with the class of 1988. Tammy loved her sisters and was a very loving big sister. She never complained when her twin sisters piled onto her back any time she was laying on the floor. She even loved her sister Tracy, despite all the stories she shared about being pestered by her. They had a special love/pester relationship that carried on to the end. Tammy loved spending time with her parents and grandparents. She loved dogs and always had one. Marrying young, Tammy and her husband spent some time living in Muskogee, before moving to Denton Texas. Tammy worked over two decades in the Denton and Muskogee Public School systems. Her passion for her work and her love for the children she was around were evident in everything she did, bringing smiles to the faces of countless students.
Tammy's proudest accomplishments were her three children, Jake, Cassie, and Tommy, as well as her six beloved grandchildren: David, Addison, Brayden, Riley, Lukas, and Daisy. She found immense joy in nurturing her flower garden and cherishing moments with her puppy, Tuffy. Tammy was preceded in death by: Maternal grandparents Hazel and Ed Canterbury, paternal grandparents Raymond Spriggs, and Opal Spriggs-Harrison, Aunt Patsy and Uncle Alan Snodgrass, and Uncle John Canterbury.
Survived by her children Jake, Cassie (and her husband Andrew and their children), and Tommy Tammy also leaves behind her parents, Tom and Rosie Spriggs, and her sisters Tracy, Molly (and husband Eric), and Maggie, along with her cherished nieces and nephews. Tammy cared deeply for her family both immediate and extended. To know her is to most definitely love her. Known for her huge heart, Tammy made everyone feel important and she loved deeply. Her radiant smile lit up any room, and she had an extraordinary ability to make friends wherever she went.
Tammy is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Throughout her life, she felt the love and prayers of her family and friends, especially during her recent health challenges. She will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, soaking in the summer sun by the pool, and the precious time spent with her grandchildren. Tammy touched the lives of many and will be profoundly missed.
