Ms. Tammy Diane Jefferson, 50, was born on September 6, 1974, to Peggy Durham and the late Ernest Thomas at Gaston Memorial Hopstial. She transitioned into enternal life on March 27, 2025, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

Tammy attended Hunter Huss High School. She was a member of Center Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. Tammy loved and enjoyed many things, but above all she loved her grandchildren dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed taking vacations to the beach to spend quality time with her family. She has a special place in the hearts she touched; her presence and love will always be cherished.

In addition to her father, she was preceeded in death by her son, Shawn Durham; grandparents, Robert and Caroline Thomas and David and Thelma Durham; and brothers, Tommy Durham and Ernest M. Thomas. She leaves her love and memories to her mother, Peggy D. Thomas; daughters, Tenquisha Durham and Ashley Durham; fourteen grandchildren; sisters, Michelle Thomas, Carolyn Thomas, Tanessa Holton and Cora (Adrian) Collins; brothers, Carl Durham and Robert (Pamela) Thomas; and sister-in-law, Anita Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
