Sylvia Ann Dowling-Robinson, lovingly known as Silver or Sylvie, passed away on April 29, 2024, at 86. She was born on March 18, 1938, in Grass Lake, MI, to Robert Earl Dowling Sr. and Lucile Elzeta Osborne-Dowling. Sylvia was the beloved daughter of their family, with her brother Robert Earl Dowling Jr. and brother Warren Dowling by her side throughout her life.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Raymond Emerson Robinson. Sylvia spent her final years in Tavares, FL, cherishing her time with her family. She was a devoted mother to her five children, Richard Lee Robinson (Catherine), Gary James Robinson (Jill), Timothy Raymond Robinson, Catherine Renee Robinson-Sonnenberg, and Rebecca Ann Robinson-Syverson, her proudest accomplishments. Sylvia loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones.
Known for her love of nature and singing, Sylvia enjoyed spending time outdoors and sharing her beautiful voice with those around her. She had a special place in her heart for Maggie Valley, NC, which she considered her favorite spot. Sylvia was also passionate about sports, particularly cheering on the Detroit Tigers Baseball team.
In addition to her passions, Sylvia was fond of meatloaf, Kentucky Fried Chicken, potatoes, and chocolate malt milkshakes. These were some of her favorite foods, which brought her joy and comfort.
Sylvia Ann Robinson will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will live on through her children, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
We will celebrate Sylvia Ann Dowling-Robinson at Trimble Park because it held a special place in her heart over the years, and we have many cherished memories from our visits there with her. We will provide a delicious spread of food at 11:30 AM and look forward to spending time with you before the ceremony begins. Feel free to dress comfortably, and don't worry about the Florida heat – we'll have fans to help keep you cool. Your love, support, and prayers mean the world to us, and we look forward to celebrating our Mother's life with all of you!
