Surjit Kaur Brar, affectionately known as Jeeto, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on July 25, 1935, in Veroke, Punjab, India, she lived her final years in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, surrounded by her loving family.

Surjit was a devoted wife to Narinder Brar and a proud mother to her three children: Paramjit (Gureswak), Kamaljit (Kulwinder), and Balijit (Sukhwant). She cherished her role as a grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Raja (Prachi), Laddi, Sharan (Vish), Deepi (Deepy), Jassi (Ritchie), Navi (Harpreet), Sunny, and Josh, and found joy in the company of her great-grandchildren, Johvan, Jaya, and Esha.

Known for her infectious humor and vibrant spirit, Surjit was the life of every gathering and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her love for family was unmatched, and she found immense joy in sharing her favorite foods, especially fries, cookies with her cha, and gur after meals.

Surjit’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
